The answer is much more than bringing you drinks by the pool. Butler Elite Service is available with select top-tier suites at Sandals and Beaches Resorts and is designed to make your vacation easier and more personalized. Your butler can take care of many of the little details that would normally require your time and attention, from dining reservations and activities to your favorite spot at the pool.
And no, you don't have to be the type of person who is comfortable being "waited on" to enjoy having a butler.
In my experience, that's one of the biggest misconceptions about Butler Service. The real luxury isn't having someone follow you around. It's having someone quietly taking care of things behind the scenes so you can spend more of your vacation actually enjoying it.
Your Butler Experience Can Begin Before You Arrive
If you've booked a Butler Suite, you can complete your Butler Preferences before your vacation. This is your opportunity to share the things that will help personalize your stay, including your favorite beverages, snacks, dietary preferences and other requests. Think about what you enjoy on vacation. Maybe you like coffee first thing in the morning, champagne in the afternoon, a particular liquor in your room or certain snacks waiting when you return from the beach.
Providing those preferences ahead of time gives your butler a head start on getting to know you.
What Happens When You Arrive?
Once you arrive at the resort, your butler helps get your vacation started. Your butler can coordinate your luggage, escort you to your suite, handle your private check-in and give you an orientation of the resort. They'll also go over your preferences and discuss what you'd like during your stay.
Don't want to unpack?
Your butler can do that too.
They can even press your clothes for your first evening, which can be particularly nice after everything has spent the day inside a suitcase. You'll also have a way to contact your butler when you need something during your stay.

This is one of the benefits I think travelers underestimate. Instead of spending vacation time figuring out dining reservations, your butler can make your dinner reservations for you. They can also help coordinate tours, resort activities and spa appointments. When it's time for dinner, your butler can even escort you to the restaurant and arrange preferred seating. It's one less thing for you to think about.

For couples staying at Sandals, this can create a wonderfully romantic evening. For families staying at Beaches, it can be equally valuable for a completely different reason.
Sometimes everyone is tired.
The kids have had enough.
Nobody wants to get dressed for dinner.
Having dinner brought to your suite can suddenly feel like the greatest luxury in the world.
Butler Service at Beaches Is Fantastic for Families
Butler Service isn't only about romance and luxury. At Beaches Resorts, it can be incredibly helpful for families. Beaches butlers can personalize the experience for children as well, from having favorite snacks available to surprising them with cookies or games. And when you're traveling with children, convenience matters.
Having someone help coordinate dining, activities, room requests, food, drinks and other details can take some of the logistical work off the parents. Instead of constantly figuring out what happens next, you get to enjoy the vacation too.
Your Butler Also Takes Care of the Little Things
Some Butler services may surprise you. Your butler can communicate with housekeeping about your suite, help make sure your room is arranged the way you prefer, handle laundry service, tend to your wardrobe and even shine or clean your shoes. Your butler can help coordinate your departure transportation, provide checkout information, assist with packing and make sure your luggage gets where it needs to go. Do You Have the Same Butler the Entire Vacation?
Typically, you will have a team of butlers rather than one individual butler working around the clock.
This is important to understand before you travel because guests sometimes expect one person to be assigned exclusively to them for their entire vacation. Your butler team works together to provide coverage throughout your stay.

I think Butler Service provides the most value for travelers who appreciate convenience and personalized service. If you love spending your days at the beach or pool, having food and drinks brought to you can be wonderful. If dining is important to you, having someone coordinating reservations and preferences is valuable. If you're celebrating a honeymoon, anniversary or milestone trip, those personalized touches can make the vacation feel even more special.
But here's something important:
You don't need a Butler Suite to have a fantastic Sandals or Beaches vacation.
The question isn't whether Butler Service is "better."
The question is whether the additional services are valuable to you.
Butler vs. Club Level: Which Should You Book?
This is where choosing the right Sandals or Beaches room becomes more complicated than simply looking at pictures online. Sometimes I recommend Butler Level. Sometimes Club Level makes more sense. And sometimes I'd rather see my clients put their vacation budget toward a better resort, room location, view or longer stay instead of Butler Service. That's why I don't believe in choosing a room category based solely on which one sounds the most luxurious. The room and service level should fit the way you actually vacation.
